Many MLB fans are used to ESPN reporter Jeff Passan reporting on all things baseball.
He talks about trades, signings, and when injuries occur.
But, reporting on one of his own injuries is not something many thought would ever happen.
Yet, it appears Passan suffered an unfortunate injury after being hit by a falling tree limb.
He came out with a note to everyone saying how he suffered a broken back from this incident.
You can tell from the message that Passan is still in good spirits despite his condition.
He mentioned that despite his back not working, his phone still does and will continue sending out tweets.

This injury likely means we will not see Passan on TV anytime soon.
But most people find communicating with him through social media easier.
Passan even sent out a picture of the limb that crushed him.

Luckily, he does not have any further damage after seeing the size of that limb.
This could not have come at a worse time for Passan.
With the trade deadline almost two weeks away, this is the time when he is at his best.
He is one of the main people that fans rely on for all their trade news.
This time of the year is like Passan’s World Series, but he will have to approach it without the luxury of moving.
Even still, we do not expect him to make excuses.
He should be at the top of his game come trade deadline day as the deals will be plentiful around the league.
