Lucas Giolito is one of several starting pitchers that will be available this year at the trade deadline.
The Chicago White Sox right-hander is a free agent at the end of the year, but will be a hot commodity this year at the deadline.
The White Sox are expected to be massive sellers after a poor first half of the season.
On Thursday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network revealed that the Los Angeles Dodgers were showing interest in the veteran right-hander.
The Dodgers are a team that could use some extra starting pitching.
Morosi followed that report up with a tweet explaining why Giolito would make perfect sense for the Dodgers.

Morosi first noted a trend that Dodgers President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman has followed over the past several years, that being the fact that he has been willing to trade for high-profile rental players.
A few examples include Yu Darvish and Manny Machado.
Another important thing to note is that the White Sox and Dodgers share a spring training facility in Arizona, meaning that the Dodgers have had plenty of looks at the right-hander.
Giolito is also a native of Southern California, having been high school teammates with Atlanta Braves ace Max Fried and Jack Flaherty of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Giolito would give the Dodgers another frontline starter to go next to left-hander Julio Urias.
The Dodgers currently are tied with the Arizona Diamondbacks, but lead the NL West by virtue of winning percentage.
A starting pitching addition would give them a better chance to pull away with the NL West title.
