On Monday, the world of Major League Baseball was floored by the news that top insider and writer Jeff Passan of ESPN had suffered a broken back when a tree limb fell on him during a storm in Kansas City.
Passan is one of baseball’s most well-known and well-respected writers, one who provides top insider analysis on the ins and outs of the game.
The esteemed ESPN writer released a statement on Twitter, revealing what had taken place.
Passan’s statement sparked an outpouring of support from fans and fellow insiders alike.
MLB Network insider Jon Morosi responded to Passan’s statement and wished his good friend well as he recovers from such a scary accident.
