Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts entered Thursday with a .998 OPS.
After completing a previously suspended game and earning a 6-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians, Betts’ OPS is now at 1.006.
How did he do it?
Well, try going 5-for-5.

With a double off the wall, Betts completed his five-hit game.
With the incredible game, the fiery Dodgers outfielder keeps telling the world he actually has a pretty strong MVP case in the National League.
For months we all assumed that Ronald Acuna Jr., who was on a historic power-speed pace, would walk away with the award.
Now that almost five months of the 2023 campaign are in the books, other stars have joined the potential list of candidates.
Acuna’s name is still there, but one of his teammates, Matt Olson, is making a huge impact.
On the Dodgers’ side, there are two legitimate candidates, too: Freddie Freeman and Betts.
Betts is hitting .308/.402/.604 with 34 doubles, 34 home runs, 10 stolen bases, and the aforementioned 1.006 OPS.
Over his last seven games, he is slashing an unreal .615/.643/1.038.
Whereas Acuna has slowed down a bit in recent weeks, the other three candidates are turning up the heat.
Betts, in particular, has been outstanding.
In the last 30 games, he owns a fantastic .370/.449/.639 line with seven round-trippers.
He is already an MVP winner, when he took it in 2018 with the Boston Red Sox.
Now, he wants to win it in the National League, too.
