MLB is full of legendary players that will find themselves in Cooperstown when their careers end.

We have players like Miguel Cabrera, Mike Trout, Clayton Kershaw, and Justin Verlander, all of whom should be first-ballot Hall of Famers.

But there are a few other players that can make a strong case.

One of those players is Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts.

He has been one of the best players of the past decade and even won an MVP with the Boston Red Sox in 2018.

Betts is 30 years old this season but has shown no signs of slowing down.

According to FOX Sports: MLB, Betts said, “I think my goal now is to become a Hall of Famer.”

Every decision @mookiebetts makes is leading to one specific objective, one ultimate desire that supersedes any fleeting thoughts of passivity @Dodgers

Betts has achieved everything a player dreams of when they begin their career.

He is a six-time All-Star and Gold Glove winner.

Also, he has won two World Series championships.

It seems like Betts has changed his play style as he has gotten older.

He is becoming more of a power hitter than in the past.

This season through 86 games, Betts has hit 26 home runs.

His career high for home runs in a season is 35, which he set last year.

Betts should be well on his way to his first career 40+ homer season.

Also, the former MVP seems destined for another top-five MVP finish this year.

Even if he does not win the award, having a top-five or top-three finish on your resume helps your HOF chances.

Betts may not be a sure-fire Hall of Famer at this point.

Yet, if he keeps playing as he has been there is no denying him Cooperstown when he hangs up the cleats.
