LeBron James may be entering Year 21, but his presence has got the Los Angeles Lakers as one of the favorites to win the Western Conference and possibly the 2024 NBA Championship.

James hinted at potentially retiring in the wake of getting swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, but he announced he would be returning for the 2023-24 NBA season at the 2023 ESPYs.

With James back in the fold, the Lakers made sure to get him some help as they revamped the roster in free agency.

With more talent and depth on the roster, the King has as good a shot as any to capture his fifth ring.

Although James is turning 39 years old later this year, he remains one of the best players in the league because of his basketball IQ.

Players like Myles Turner have seen firsthand what James is like on the court and he discussed when he first realized just how smart the Lakers star was via Tidal League.

“I wasn’t a LeBron hater but I was like, ‘He Bron, he cool, he ain’t Kobe…’ until I actually played against him,” Turner said. “One of the smartest moth*******— I have every played against bro…He sees things before it happens.”

James has the unique ability to read the floor in an instant and make the right play accordingly.

The superstar’s first option is to pass the basketball and make a play for a teammate, but he has no problem hunting his own shot as well.

James is truly a generational talent and fans will be excited to see him take the floor again when the regular season tips off.
