The Indiana Pacers have a superstar in the making.

Trading Domantas Sabonis away obviously hurt, but getting Tyrese Haliburton in return might have been the best thing that could’ve possibly happened to that franchise at the time.

The Iowa State product has become the most proficient playmaker in the league since getting the green light to run the offense, piling up assists at an impressive rate while also taking elite care of the basketball.

That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see his teammate, Myles Turner, in awe of the way he’s played thus far.

Recently, Turner called Haliburton ‘the best point guard he’s seen in the past four or five years’ (Via SiriusXM NBA Radio & NBA Central).

“Best point guard that I’ve seen in the past 4-5 years.”

And while some could take that as a diss to, say, Stephen Curry or Kyrie Irving, he might not be lying.

If we talk about playmakers, Haliburton has been on a tier of his own since arriving in Indiana.

His passing ability, basketball IQ, court vision, and execution have been elite, up to the point where he’s had streaks of 30+ assists without a single turnover.

On top of that, he’s also taken a huge leap forward as a scorer, being more aggressive but also being much more efficient.

He’s pulling up from beyond the arc and knocking down shots from Stephen Curry range at an efficient clip.

The Pacers have been quite fun to watch with Haliburton at the helm, with him pushing the break on every single possession like a more explosive and athletic Steve Nash.
