For the 2022-23 NBA season, Jordan Poole of the Golden State Warriors averaged 20.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.
But if you watched Monday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings, he definitely didn’t look like a player who could produce those numbers.
He scored just 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist during just 15 minutes on the court, getting benched by head coach Steve Kerr when it was clear he wasn’t having a good night.
NBA writer Kevin O’Connor didn’t go easy on Poole on Tuesday.
Speaking to FanDuel TV, O’Connor said, “Jordan Poole, I have no hope for him. He’s not a good basketball player. He’s getting benched in the second half for good reason.”

Those are tough words for Poole but everyone can agree that he didn’t perform very well during Game 2.
He was a bit better in Game 1 with 17 points but that also wasn’t enough to get his team a much-needed win.
With back-to-back losses, the Warriors are now in a very bad way and they will need all of their big stars to step up when they return to San Francisco later this week.
Many of the Warriors players, including Poole, just can’t seem to keep up with the Kings’ youthful, energetic roster.
Poole is usually fairly reliable but he has been having his fair share of bad nights recently.
During one of the last games of the season, Poole went 0-of-10 from the floor.
Weeks before, it was just 1-of-8 on the court.
Poole is surely going to spend the next few days in the practice gym, working on his shots and trying to find his rhythm again.
The Warriors didn’t want to lose two games in a row but they definitely cannot lose three.
