The Los Angeles Lakers don’t know which seed they’ll be or even if they’re going to make the NBA playoffs.

But, even though they’ve struggled for most of the season and they might even end up as the eighth seed in the Western Conference, they like their chances in a seven-game series against anybody.

That’s because they have LeBron James on their roster.

Even at his age, LeBron gives the Lakers a chance to compete at the highest level, as he always takes his game up a notch come playoff time.

At least that’s what Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy thinks, as he said in a recent interview with Gilbert Arenas for the “No Chill” podcast.

Handy explained that all elite players need to have extra gear, a switch they turn when the game is on the line or the season is at stake, and LeBron most definitely has that.

“To be elite, you have to have another switch.”

While his haters might claim that he’s not clutch or that he’s crumbled under pressure, or even point out his negative record in the NBA Finals, James has proven to be one of the all-time greatest playoff performers this game has ever seen.

The Lakers need to go to war in their final two regular-season games to try and secure a more favorable spot in the seeding.

But regardless of who they have to face, chances are that team will be more scared to go against LeBron than LeBron will be of them.
