There are hundreds of players in the NBA, but only a select few can be titled as true superstars in the league.

While the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry currently fit the definition of a superstar, there is a player who may enter that realm sooner rather than later.

Yes, we are talking about none other than San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama, who has started his journey in the league.

To explain how amazing of a player Wembanyama actually is, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver recently praised the young stud, via Good Morning America on Twitter.

It’s one thing to praise a player when he reaches his full potential, it’s completely another to heap huge praise on a rookie.

The Commissioner did the latter as he claimed that Wembanyama has the potential to become one of the greatest players in the league as a rookie.

So far, Wembanyama has played just five games in the NBA so far, but he’s already averaging 20.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

He has also helped the Spurs attain a respectable 3-2 record as they hold the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

As of now, the Spurs are on pace to finally make the postseason for the first time since the 2018-19 season.

It will be a huge achievement for Wembanyama if he can put an end to the team’s playoff drought and give fans hope of once again lifting the glorious Larry O’Brien trophy sooner rather than later.
