The rich get richer, and the NBA isn’t the exception to that rule.

The Golden State Warriors may have landed one of the biggest steals of the 2023 NBA Draft by taking Trayce Jackson-Davis with the No. 57 pick.

The big man out of Indiana was one of the most dominant forces on both ends of the glass in the Big Ten last season, up to the point where some thought he could even sneak all the way to the lottery.

That wasn’t the case, and the Hoosiers star now has a huge chip on his shoulder, vowing to make every single team that passed on him remember his name.

That’s the kind of underdog mindset and mentality that the Warriors — and especially Draymond Green — will love to see from the big man.

He’s fresh off a remarkable campaign, winning the Karl Malone Award and making 35 starts for his team, all while averaging 20.9 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.9 blocks per game on 58% from the floor.

He’ll give the Dubs a solid rim-runner and another prominent rebounder and rim protector behind Kevon Looney.

The Warriors have lacked size for quite a while, and the 23-year-old could make an immediate impact with his bursts of energy, athleticism, and raw power.

Teams have usually shied away from taking players who spent more than one year in college, as their upside seems to be more limited.

But the fact that one of the prime rebounders and shot-blockers in the collegiate scene fell like he did is nothing short of incredible.
