Gary Trent Jr. has spent the last few seasons playing for the Toronto Raptors, averaging 16.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
But that team has struggled to climb in the Eastern Conference rankings and many people assumed Trent would look for a new squad to play for.
He has been a name linked to multiple rumors during this offseason and it sounds like one team’s pursuit of Trent is heating up.
According to Shams Charania, per NBACentral, the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to acquire the guard.

The Bucks are reportedly looking for a sharpshooter to fill out their roster and Trent definitely fits the bill.
He shot 42.6% from the field last season and also posted 39.3% of his three-pointers too.
He would work very well alongside Damian Lillard, who he played with during their time together with the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Bucks have been fairly quiet during the offseason but they have been looking for ways to improve.
Last season didn’t end the way they wanted it to.
The first year featuring the combination of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo concluded with both players injured and an early departure from the playoffs.
They are looking to rebound from that in a big way in 2024-25 and that might require more talent, including someone like Trent.
He has a career average of 14.3 points and a 42.2% field goal percentage.
He is the sort of star who could serve a big role for the Bucks and take their offense to the next level.
Trent has been patiently waiting for a new team to take him on and give him more opportunities.
