Superstar forward Kevin Durant returning to the lineup for the Phoenix Suns ahead of the NBA playoffs is a game-changer.
The Suns were a good team regardless of Durant’s presence on the floor and currently sit in the four seed in the Western Conference, but if he’s truly healthy and ready to compete, the conference may no longer be wide open.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Durant will return to the floor for the Suns on Wednesday night when the team faces the Minnesota Timberwolves in Phoenix at the Footprint Center.

Durant is currently averaging 29.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, shooting 56.6% from the floor and 38.6% from beyond the arc.
Although the recent injury was a setback for the future Hall of Famer, Durant has played in 42 games this season and has resembled the dominant player of old both in a Brooklyn Nets and Suns uniform.
Unlike other superstars around the league, Durant has had an uncanny ability to not miss a beat after being out with an injury.
He tends to get back to form very quickly, which bodes well for the Suns, with only seven regular-season games left on their schedule.
If the seeding in the West holds firm, the Suns will likely face the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs.
The Clippers have also had their fair share of injuries and are currently dealing with Paul George being out.
There’s a chance that George could miss the entire first round of the playoffs, which is hugely beneficial to the Suns if these two teams face off right out of the gate.
