The Chicago Bulls fought hard and pulled off a vital win on Wednesday night, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
By beating the Toronto Raptors, the Bulls gave themselves a chance to secure the eighth spot in the East on Friday night.
As for the Raptors, their season is over and they are now starting an extra-long summer break.
Following the 109-105 victory, Bulls role player Patrick Beverley had something to say about his opponent.
“I knew they were f—ing trash,” Beverley said according to Mike Roach via NBACentral.

Those are some harsh words from Beverley, who isn’t afraid of speaking his mind and angering fans.
The response to Beverley’s dig was fiery.
Some people noted the fact that Beverley is making a habit of appearing in play-in games.
When with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, Beverley was mocked for his joyous celebration following a play-in win.
“The Play-in GOAT,” Hard Rock Sportsbook said.

TIckPick made a point to remind Beverley that he scored just three points in Wednesday night’s win.
It is true that he hasn’t been the best scorer this year but some of what he contributes to the team, like his defensive prowess, is hard to put into numbers.

Many people ragged on Beverley for demeaning another team when he himself didn’t do much.
“When the person who did no work on the group project leads the presentation,” one fan said.

“Remind me, how many rings Pat Bev got?” one fan harshly asked.
Remind me, how many rings Pat Bev got? Other than trending on Twitter, what else is Pat Bev known for?

Beverley is definitely the type of player who creates strong opinions throughout the league’s fanbase.
If the Bulls are able to win on Friday night, people should expect more comments like this from Beverley.
