One of the most intriguing aspects of following the NBA is watching each season’s rookie class and seeing which players will live up to the hype or even exceed expectations.

The first taste of an incoming rookie class that fans can get comes during summer league, when draftees get to experience NBA-level competition for the first time against other draftees and second-year players.

Over the years, watching every summer league game has been difficult, but the league has announced that every summer league game this year will be televised.

The NBA announced today the game and broadcast schedules for NBA 2K24 Summer League, set for July 7-17 in Las Vegas. ESPN networks and NBA TV will air all 76 games. Every NBA team will play at least five games.

The first summer league games will tip off on July 7, which is just two weeks from now.

The most-watched player this year is sure to be Victor Wembanyama, the French phenom who was drafted with the No. 1 pick in Thursday’s draft by the San Antonio Spurs.

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich confirmed that Wembanyama will take part in summer league play, although he wasn’t sure how much the incoming rookie will play in July.

Another interesting player to watch will be Scoot Henderson, a point guard taken by the Portland Trail Blazers at No. 3.

Henderson is an exciting and explosive guard with the type of athleticism that could rival that of Russell Westbrook and Ja Morant.

Some must be wondering if drafting Henderson could be a prelude to trading away Damian Lillard, who has been the face of the Blazers for the past decade.

As is often the case, there will likely be at least one lower draft pick who will surprise many and turn out to be a diamond in the rough.
