More than any other sport, superstars drive the NBA, and those superstars always have to climb the ladder year after year in a painstaking process that typically involves a first-round loss to a heavy favorite to get your feet wet in the playoffs, followed by at least a couple of deep runs to the second round or Conference Finals, and only after all that pain do fans get the pleasure of seeing a superstar finally make their debut in the NBA Finals.
This is exactly the process that one superstar has gone through, and tonight he finally makes his first appearance in the Finals.
The NBA shared a highlight video on their official Twitter account showing how incredible Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has been in his brief playoff career to get fans excited for his NBA Finals debut tonight against the Boston Celtics.

Doncic lost to the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round in each of his first two playoff appearances in 2019-20 and 2020-21 before making it to the Western Conference Finals in 2021-22, and after a year of missing the playoffs, his Mavericks have made an emphatic return and ran through the Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves to advance to their first Finals since winning the title in 2011.
Doncic led the league with 33.9 points per game this season while also finishing second at 9.8 assists per game.
He got off to a slow start in the playoffs as he appeared to be hampered by multiple injuries, but he looked much better in the Conference Finals against the Timberwolves, and now after a week off, he should be ready to give the Celtics all they can handle.
