James Harden is still technically a member of the Philadelphia 76ers but it seems like only a matter of time before he moves to another NBA team.
He is demanding a trade from the Sixers and the front office is working to make that happen.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the 76ers are asking for a lot in exchange for Harden.
Plus, there’s still a chance he doesn’t leave.
“If it was up to the Sixers, they would get James Harden enthusiastic about playing next season,” Wojnarowski said on ESPN, via ClutchPoints.
He added that there is definitely interest in Harden from other NBA teams.
However, no one has been able to create a deal that has won Philadelphia over yet.

There is hope that perhaps Harden will change his mind and decide to stick around in Philadelphia for the next season.
But Wojnarowski admits that a lot of work needs to be done before Harden will call off his demands for a trade.
That means that Philadelphia’s front office will keep working behind the scenes to cobble together a strong package for their All-Star.
But they are not going to commit to anything unless they are really excited about it.
This entire ordeal is similar to the one that brought Harden to Philadelphia.
It was clear that Ben Simmons wasn’t working out with the Sixers.
A trade was obviously needed to remedy the situation.
But the team didn’t rush into any deal.
Instead, they waited as long as they needed until the right one came along.
That eventual trade with Simmons happened to feature Harden from the Brooklyn Nets.
Will the 76ers do the same thing this time and wait as long as it takes?
Is there a chance that Harden is sitting on the bench when the new season begins?
