The Miami Heat have been middling at best over the last few years, even with the star talent and leadership of Jimmy Butler and head coach Erik Spoelstra.

But even with those two, the Heat haven’t been handling things correctly, according to Ramona Shelburne, per Legion Hoops.

Shelburne has an idea of how the Heat can get better.

“I think they need to give the keys to Bam Adebayo,” she said.

Her comments are hot on the heels of Adebayo having such a big impact on Team USA at the Paris Olympics.

He has shown that he has the abilities and the mindest to lead a team and can do a lot with his power, size, and skill.

But even with everything he has shown in the Olympics, it’s still not clear if the Heat will hand him the keys to the kingdom, as Shelburne suggested.

They are very adamant about Butler being their biggest star and that has worked out well for them, most of the time.

However, the Eastern Conference has gotten much tougher lately and the Heat haven’t made any moves to keep up with it.

They are now a team that is consistently falling short and there aren’t many encouraging signs for them.

The upcoming season will be a big one for the Heat.

If they refuse to make changes, they will likely slide down the Eastern Conference standings.

But if they attempt something new and shake things up, they could be true playoff contenders again.

Does this mean it’s time for Adebayo to take over?
