Most people agree that the Boston Celtics have one of the best starting lineups in the NBA.
The combination of Jrue Holiday, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Derrick White is hard to beat.
But the team is looking to get even better and will pursue the trade market to make that happen.
On “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said that the Celtics will be “aggressive in just seeing what could be out there for bench help.”

According to Charania, the Celtics want to improve their depth and fortify an even stronger second unit.
The starting five is very powerful and bench players like Al Horford and Payton Pritchard can help a lot, but it’s not enough for the team’s front office and they want more.
They made some significant moves over the summer, acquiring both Holiday and Porzingis but they still have some assets that they can trade away.
That means they could make serious noise in the weeks and months ahead.
Their goal is to have a great five players to start each game and then three to four others who could carry the team through the regular season and beyond.
The Celtics will need to be careful with any trades because they don’t want to mess up the good things they have going right now.
They are the top team in the East with a 20-5 record, but they are just slightly ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Bucks.
If they make the wrong choice, even with the best intentions, they could jeopardize what they have.
But this team definitely needs to get deeper, especially because injuries have popped up from time to time within the starting five.
Who will they sign and what will they give up to get them?
