The NBA world finally got the answer they were looking for in the Damian Lillard-saga.

After 11 seasons playing with the Blazers, Lillard has finally requested a trade.

The one team that Lillard has stated he wants to play for is the Miami Heat.

But the Blazers reportedly plan on sending Lillard to whatever team will give them the best package.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski via Evan Sidery, the Trail Blazers are “open for business” and are looking for “young players, draft picks, and cap relief” in return.

The Trail Blazers do not plan to cooperate with Damian Lillard on his trade request to the Heat, per @wojespn:

– Portland “open for business everywhere in the league” on trading Lillard.

It always felt like the Blazers were going to do right by Lillard and send him where he wants to play.

But that no longer looks to be the case.

If the Heat do not present the package Portland wants a few other teams will jump into the Lillard sweepstakes.

The Philadelphia 76ers could show interest along with the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.

It would make sense for the Blazers to want to move Lillard to the Eastern Conference.

It would be shocking if Lillard were to start the season as a member of the Trail Blazers.

You can fully expect that a trade will be made and it’s just a matter of what team the All-Star will be playing for.
