With a few games in the books for the San Antonio Spurs this season, the Victor Wembanyama hype train is full steam ahead, as seemingly everyone has chimed in on what they’ve seen from the rookie phenom so far.

Although it’s been an incredibly small sample size thus far, everyone seems to be raving about Wembanyama and his unique style of basketball, which feels like he’s the only one on the planet who can do it at his size.

Despite the Spurs only winning one of the three games they’ve played up to this point in the regular season, Wembanyama has already shown some flashes of brilliance, especially in the team’s only win thus far against the Houston Rockets.

Wembanyama may be licking his wounds right now after a poor performance against the Los Angeles Clippers, but what he did against the Rockets turned a lot of heads as he showed off most of his skills and left some speechless while watching his highlights.

One NBA legend who recently chimed in on what he’s seen from Wembanyama is Los Angeles Lakers icon Magic Johnson, who has been very impressed with what he’s seen from the 19-year-old, via SiriusXM NBA Radio.

“[Wembanyama] landed in the right place”.@MagicJohnson talks Victor’s skills and how San Antonio is the best organization for the rookie phenom.

Johnson has been around the game for a long time and has seen a lot of great players during that time, but he clearly hasn’t seen anything like what Wembanyama can do on the basketball floor, as he marveled at how skilled the rookie is right now.

The real question is whether Wembanyama can play consistently well on both ends at this level while staying healthy.

So far, so good, but there’s a long way to go.
