On Sunday night, Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks shocked the NBA world with a hard-to-believe three-point buzzer-beater that led to a victory over the Sacramento Kings.

On Monday morning, NBA legend Vince Carter and the crew on Run It Back spoke about Lillard.

“Dame [Lillard] has that ability, he’s a clutch player, not afraid of the big moment, regardless of who’s on the court,” Carter said.

Like many others, Carter was wowed by Lillard’s shot but also not surprised because this is something the Bucks star has done again and again throughout his career.

Sunday’s game couldn’t have been closer as the clock wound down.

The Kings were up by two points with just a couple of seconds left in overtime.

But then Lillard drained his deep three-pointer from the top of the key just as the buzzer sounded.

With that shot, Lillard became just the fifth player in NBA history to score 2,500 career three-pointers.

He now sits behind Reggie Miller, James Harden, Ray Allen, and Stephen Curry for the most three-pointers in league history.

It was a wild, wonderful moment for Bucks fans and it gave them a definitive taste of what Portland Trail Blazers fans got to witness again and again over the years.

Milwaukee has been a strong contender in the East all season long and is currently the second-best team in the conference with a 28-12 record.

Lillard has had to adjust his game and accept a slightly diminished role compared to what he was used to in Portland.

It hasn’t been without some hiccups and disappointment, but Sunday night was a prime example of just how great Lillard can be.

Lillard’s jaw-dropping shot made fans forget about any growing pains, adjustments, and disappointments this season.
