The conversation about the greatest player in NBA history has gone on for many years.
The debate has gotten stronger with the evolution of social media, but it seems like every fan has a strong feeling about their top player in league history.
Players like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James are typically named No. 1 by many fans, but there are other players mentioned as well.
One of those players is Kevin Durant, at least in James Worthy’s eyes.
Worthy is a legendary NBA athlete in his own right, and he’s convinced that Durant is being slept on in these conversations.
As he mentioned in a recent conversation shared via Clutch Points and NBA Central, “I just love his range, the way he can move out to the three, you can’t stop him in the mid-range game, he’s a pretty good defensive player, and he doesn’t get talked enough about.”

Worthy is a massive advocate for Durant, adding, “If you’re talking like top seven guys who can be the greatest of all time, he’s in there in my opinion.”
Durant is a one-of-a-kind player.
He is an explosive athlete, which can be rare for someone of his size and overall stature.
Durant brings a lot to the table for any team he suits up for, a true unicorn by many definitions.
It will be interesting to see how his career ends, and if he’ll continue to be added to these “G.O.A.T.” conversations, as Worthy mentioned.
