Anthony Edwards has had a huge season and it could result in his team going far in the postseason.
Because of his terrific work, he has earned many apt comparisons to previous NBA stars.
But his teammate, Jaden McDaniels, believes that Edwards is a lot like the most celebrated basketball player of all time.
“He’s like Michael Jordan. If you didn’t watch Mike, you can watch Ant,” McDaniels said, via Legion Hoops.

That’s incredibly high praise because being compared to Michael Jordan is a huge honor.
McDaniels has gotten plenty of time to play alongside Edwards so he has seen his MJ-like skills up close.
But there are other people outside of the team who also see similarities between the Timberwolves star and the legendary icon.
For the season, Edwards is averaging 25.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game, shooting 45.9% and leading his team with his ability to read the floor and find other Timberwolves stars at the most important times.
The Jordan comparisons will continue if the Timberwolves find a lot of success in the upcoming playoffs.
They are the best team in their conference right now with a 54-24 record.
However, the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder are right behind them and could take the top place before the postseason starts.
Edwards has definitely had a wonderful regular season but people are going to judge his year based on what his team does in the playoffs.
If they are able to continue their promising trend, more people will say that Edwards is like Jordan.
And if everything goes well, he could add his first championship ring to his finger.
