Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks has been in the NBA for 12 seasons now and, frankly, he doesn’t think he gets the credit he deserves.
Lillard joined the “Club 520” podcast, per NBACentral, and said that people don’t give him enough credit, especially because of his consistency.
He believes that he is still performing as well as he always has.
In fact, he believes that his consistency is working against him in the eyes of others because people grow bored of a player always remaining at the same level.

Lillard and the hosts of the show stated that he’s one of the best shooters in league history and remains one of the greatest performers when it comes to playing off the dribble.
Many people credit Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors as the finest shooter in the NBA but Lillard should be in the conversation too, they said.
Lillard noted that he has been playing at the same level for years and has also been performing for teams that have stayed competitive.
With that being said, his Bucks didn’t deliver on a lot of its promise last season.
They weren’t able to get far in the playoffs because of injuries to both Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
For his part, Lillard put up 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7 assists per game.
Those numbers are a bit down from his the season before but that’s understandable because he had to adjust to a new team and play alongside a different roster.
Now his second season in Milwaukee is about to begin and expectations will be even higher.
Lillard might be a consistent and reliable star, as he said, but Bucks fans want more than consistency: they want a title.
