The Los Angeles Lakers have given LeBron James much more power and leverage than most NBA players will ever get to experience.
They also gave him a two-year deal worth over $100 million, which includes a no-trade clause and a 50% trade kicker.
That shows how different he is.
LeBron isn’t the average player, and even though he’s about to enter his 22nd season playing at the highest level, he’s still a top-tier hooper, at least according to his peers.
As reported by Joe Vardon and Sam Amick (via NBA Central), James was voted as the best player on Team USA in a poll shared among his USA Basketball teammates.
LeBron James was voted the best player on the court by his peers during Team USA training camp, per @joevardon & @sam_amick

James is about to turn 40 years old, but he still has the utmost respect from his peers.
Some believe he’s the greatest player of all time, and even those who don’t agree with that distinction have to admit that he’s perhaps the most accomplished player to ever lace them up, at least when it comes to individual accolades.
Truth be told, James might not be the best player on the team at this time and day, but he’s had the best career and ranks higher than all of them in the all-time rankings.
His numbers last season were pretty much the same as his entire career, even though he’s no longer a factor on defense.
Also, the fact that he has enough left in the tank to suit up and play in the Olympics after his 21st season in the National Basketball Association speaks volumes about his unmatched longevity and durability.
