The NBA is currently filled with multiple superstars playing to the best of their abilities and trying their hardest to win this season’s MVP trophy.
There are several athletes in contention for that prize and they all still have plenty of time to prove their dominance.
According to Hoop Central, the NBA released a new MVP ladder, showing the candidates for this year’s Most Valuable Player.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is the fifth pick for MVP, with Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the fourth and third spot.
Nikola Jokic has the second-best chance of being MVP, while Joel Embiid is number one and has a great shot at securing his second consecutive trophy.

Everyone on this list, from Devin Booker to Embiid, has been having sensational seasons.
But Embiid is definitely making a case for winning back-to-back MVPs.
The Philadelphia 76ers superstar is averaging 33.1 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game, shooting 51.1% from the floor.
He hasn’t scored less than 20 points all season and has recently been on a ferocious tear of games.
Just a few days ago, Embiid scored 50 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists against the Washington Wizards.
That performance surely helped improve his chances of winning MVP.
As for the 76ers, they are the fourth seed in the East right now and have a 13-7 record.
They started the season at the top of the Eastern Conference but have slid down a bit and now sit behind the Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, and Boston Celtics.
Embiid would be elated to win another MVP but there is no doubt that he’d rather finally get his team to the Finals.
He already has an MVP trophy, now he wants a championship ring.
