At 36 years old and having played for five different NFL franchises, the future remains uncertain for defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who is without a team this far into the free agency process.
Suh played a career-low eight games for the Philadelphia Eagles last season, in which he recorded 1.0 sacks, 10 tackles and two quarterback hits.
Suh’s performance for the Eagles didn’t exactly turn a lot of heads, nor did it convince any team to sign him in free agency.
On a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Suh talked about his NFL career and admitted the San Francisco 49ers were a team that was interested in his services, but he’s focused on finding the right situation for next season and still doesn’t know what he’s going to do moving forward.
At this point in his NFL career, Suh is not the same dominant player of old and likely won’t have a lot of interested teams as he has in years past.
It’s doubtful the New York Jets will give him a call after he said he doesn’t think they’ll be a title contender when they acquire superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
However, an experienced veteran at his position with all the accolades to credit and championship experience due to winning a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he still has some value and may find a new NFL home.
Even if Suh has played his last game in the league, he’ll make a strong case for the Pro Football Hall of Fame when the time comes.
