The Brooklyn Nets are one of the many NBA teams that appear to be considering making moves ahead of the trade deadline on February 8.

With only a week left for teams to wheel and deal in an effort to either upgrade their roster or address the future, the Nets could be a team that makes a few deals, as it appears the franchise may want to move two players in particular.

Brooklyn is going nowhere at this point in the 2023-24 NBA regular season, with the team really struggling and having to deal with the constant injury issues for star point guard Ben Simmons.

According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, the Nets seem determined to move Dorian Finney-Smith and/or Royce O’Neale, via NBACentral.

The Nets are determined to move at least Royce O’Neale or Dorian Finney-Smith before the deadline, if not both, per @AmicoHoops

Finney-Smith is a substantial upgrade defensively for title-contending teams around the league, so he might draw a lot of interest over the next week or so from teams looking to bring in a player of his caliber.

O’Neale can also be a vital piece to the puzzle for a title contender, which makes him a player who could easily be moved before next week’s trade deadline.

The only question moving forward is which teams will show interest in these two players with a week left for teams to make moves.

Along with putting these two players on the trade block and making them available to the highest bidders, the Nets are rumored to not be interested in moving arguably their best player, Mikal Bridges, who seems to be who they want to build around moving forward.
