The Brooklyn Nets are in trouble right now.
They cannot tank, as the Houston Rockets could be in control of their first-round pick.
They cannot compete either, as they’re just not good enough to keep up with the rest of the powerhouses in the Eastern Conference.
However, there’s a potential solution that could help them just hit the reset button and get back to the drawing board.
According to Matt Moore of the Action Network, the Nets have gotten multiple trade offers regarding Mikal Bridges (via NBA Central).
“Two league sources said the Nets have claimed multiple offers of five first-rounders for Mikal Bridges, but I’m pretty skeptical on that front,” Moore said.

Apparently, the Nets could get as many as five first-round picks for Bridges.
Nonetheless, Moore also claims to be skeptical about this report, as those picks could be heavily protected or just pick swaps, not to mention the fact that the Nets would’ve taken the deal instead of putting the word out there that they don’t want to move him.
Bridges is an elite defender, one of the most durable players in the league, and he’s proven that he can be an aggressive and efficient scorer.
Then again, he might not be a franchise-caliber player, or at least not an alpha, although he could definitely take a contending team to a whole new level.
The Nets continue to suffer from the Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden era.
