The Toronto Raptors are one Eastern Conference team that is being overlooked this year.
A few teams in the East improved their rosters this offseason but it seems like the Raptors did not make any major improvements.
Due to that, it will be tough for the Raptors to compete with the top teams in the conference.
They lost all-star point guard Fred Van Vleet in free agency.
But they replaced him by signing former Lakers point guard Dennis Schroder.
For the Raptors to reach their full potential, they need every player to take his game up a notch.
According to Basketball on X, Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic thinks Jakob Poeltl, Scottie Barnes, and Pascal Siakam will “take the next step.”

Toronto does not have the luxury of being loaded with star players like the Celtics and Bucks.
They will need to play better together to beat those teams
The Raptors have a good roster with plenty of depth so they should be able to compete for a playoff spot.
It will be interesting to see how they play in year one under a new coach.
The last time the Raptors hired a first-time head coach things worked out well for them.
Nick Nurse led the Raptors to the NBA championship in his first year.
