A scary scene took place on Wednesday night during a game between the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson made a wild throw to first base that ultimately sailed into the camera well and hit YES Network cameraman Pete Stendel in the head.
After a 17-minute delay, Stendel was carted off the field and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
It was certainly a scary scene in the Bronx.
However, YES Network provided a positive update on Stendel after the game, revealing that he is recovering and at home resting.

This is certainly good news for Stendel.
The game was delayed for 17 minutes as a result of the wild throw and Stendel’s injury.
As the cameraman was carted off the field, he raised his arm to let the crowd know that he was going to be okay.
And fortunately, it appears that he is going to be fine in the long term.
Still, this was definitely a scary moment.
The crowd went silent and the players on the field were clearly shaken by what had taken place.
But it appears that Stendel is recovering, which is good news.
The Orioles ended up winning the game by a final score of 6-3, which helped them get back into the series and set themselves up for securing a split against the Yankees on Thursday.
Thursday’s game will be a matchup between Luis Severino and Kyle Bradish.
