Aggressiveness is the name of the game for a lot of teams in the NFL this time of year.

Who is willing to trade up in the NFL Draft to capitalize on the current state of their team?

Well, one of those teams just might be the Philadelphia Eagles this week.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles have reportedly been making calls to try and trade up in the draft.

With starting cornerbacks Darius Slay, 33, and James Bradberry, 30, getting older, other teams reportedly believe Eagles GM Howie Roseman is looking to address that position.

However, it’s not just cornerback that Philadelphia might be looking to address.

Legendary center Jason Kelce retired.

Veteran defensive tackle Fletcher Cox also retired.

Safety Kevin Byard left to join the Chicago Bears in free agency.

Also, veteran inside linebackers Nicholas Morrow (signed with Buffalo) and Zach Cunningham (free agent) are no longer with the team.

There is no question that Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni have some work to do after what was surprisingly a very disappointing 2023 season.

After making a Super Bowl appearance in 2022, the Eagles started off hot at 10-1 in 2023.

They had wins over the Chiefs, Bills, Cowboys, and Dolphins.

But they would go on to finish 11-6 after a late-season plummet and lose in the wildcard round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, the addition of running back Saquon Barkley, and a very talented defense still, this is a Super Bowl-caliber team.

It is clear that Roseman sees it that way, and he wants to capitalize on that this week.
