With Bryce Young all but locked in as the No. 1 pick going to the Carolina Panthers, there’s been plenty of speculation regarding the following picks.

Some believe the Houston Texans aren’t that interested in taking a quarterback, which could lead the door wide open for another team to land C.J. Stroud.

The Arizona Cardinals have the No. 3 pick, but they have Kyler Murray locked in for the future, so they could look to trade down, depending on how much another team is willing to give up.

That’s why NFL analyst Tim Hasselbeck believes the Indianapolis Colts should desperately try and put together a trade with the Texans.

This way, they’d prevent the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and all teams that could reportedly move to land Stroud and make sure they get their franchise quarterback.

While all this makes sense on paper, it would be kind of shocking to see the Texans pull off a trade of this sort with a team in their own division.

Also, it’s not like their QB situation is ideal, so it would be odd to see them pass on the opportunity to land Stroud, even if they could still get Anthony Richardson or Will Levis by trading down with the Colts.

Simply put, it seems unlikely that these teams could engage in serious talks about a potential franchise-altering move.

For now, it seems like the Colts might even want to consider trading with the Cardinals instead, or just take whoever’s available when they’re on the clock.
