The NFL Draft is right around the corner and teams are starting to stack their draft board.
The one team who is under the most pressure will be selecting first overall, the Carolina Panthers.
After trading up into the first spot, the Panthers cannot miss on this pick.
There is no question they will be selecting a quarterback, but who is what everyone is wondering.
The two top options seem to be Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud.
Many of the concerns with Young have to do with his size.
But, for Stroud, there is one concern that is hard to ignore.
According to Sam Monson, Stroud was one of the worst quarterbacks in college football under pressure.
People seem to get irrationally mad if you don’t love Stroud as if he wasn’t poor under pressure for almost all of his college career.
We can make the case for him either way, but that’s a bad trait to have.

That is certainly a red flag as Stroud will be facing much more pressure in the NFL.
But, if you look hard enough at every prospect you can find red flags.
The question is, will the team that drafts Stroud be able to fix the issue?
As for the Panthers, they should be looking to select a sure thing.
Player development is a major part of having a successful team.
Drafting the player is the first step, but turning them into a star is on the coaching staff.
Whichever team lands Stroud should recognize his weaknesses and fix them in year one.
There is no perfect prospect, but you can coach anyone into being a very good player.
