Dan Quinn is hoping to lead the Washington Commanders to new heights over the next few months and he has the support of millions of fans.
He also has the support of Magic Johnson, who is one of the members of the managing entity that partly owns the Commanders.
Speaking on “Up & Adams,” Quinn said that he received a voicemail from Johnson, which was an inspiring moment that meant a lot to him.
“I absolutely saved that. You don’t get a call from Magic Johnson every day,” Quinn said.

Johnson is a founding member of Guggenheim Baseball Management, which co-owns not only the Commanders but also the Los Angeles Sparks and Los Angeles FC.
He is also a former part-owner of the Los Angeles Lakers whom he led for many years.
Now that he’s retired from the NBA, Johnson has spent a lot of time owning teams and putting together the best management possible.
Johnson is the right type of owner, one who reaches out to the coaches and managers running teams.
He isn’t too hands-on and instead leaves most choices to the people best equipped to handle that.
Instead, Johnson remains behind the scenes and leads via inspiration and motivation.
Quinn definitely has his work cut out for him with the Commanders so this voicemail from Johnson went a long way to keeping him motivated to take on what’s ahead.
It likely won’t be the last time he hears from Johnson, especially if the Commanders impress in the new NFL season.
