NFL Head Coach Recalls Recent Near-Death Experience

Near-death experiences are something people are always interested to hear about, and sometimes they can change people, or at least make them appreciate life and possess more gratitude for the good things they have.

New Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn may not have had the type of deeply spiritual and surreal near-death experience that some have had, but he admitted that during a recent trip he took with general manager Adam Peters, he wasn’t sure if he would make it.

Appearing on “Up & Adams,” Quinn revealed that during this particular flight, there was plenty of turbulence, and he and Peters hoped they would come out of it in one piece.

“It’s not last rites, but, ‘Hey, man, if this doesn’t go down, I love ya brother,’” Quinn said. “… A lot of laughs now, but at the time you were like, ‘Yo, man, that was serious.’”

Quinn spent the past three seasons as the Dallas Cowboys’ defensive coordinator, and at times last season got his side of the ball to look absolutely dominant.

Unfortunately for the Cowboys, that defense completely fell apart in the wild-card round of the playoffs by giving up 48 points to the Green Bay Packers in a blowout loss.

In Washington, Quinn will have a rookie quarterback in Jayden Daniels who seems to have legitimate star potential, as well as a bona fide playmaker in wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

Of course, the biggest reason for optimism in the nation’s capital is the fact that the team is under a new ownership regime led by billionaire investor Josh Harris.

It will take some time for the Commanders to become winners, but perhaps that’s the path they’re already on right now.
