The Detroit Lions enter the season with a big responsibility.
They’re no longer the dark horse or the surprising team; everybody expects them to be a contender.
Needless to say, most of that has to do with the way Dan Campbell has built and developed a winning culture inside an ever-struggling franchise.
However, as hard as the Lions head coach works, he also has some time off to star in some commercials and cash some checks.
As shown by Brad Galli on X, Campbell starred in a hilarious Applebee’s ad.

Campbell shows up to wait a table while covering his mouth with the menu, citing the specials and asking a couple for their order.
When the guy responds, he urges him to cover his mouth, and once they’re done ordering, he claims that ‘they won’t ever see it coming.’
The Lions were one of the most aggressive teams in the league last season, sometimes to a fault, as they could’ve gone to the Super Bowl if he had been a little more conservative in the NFC Championship Game vs. the San Francisco 49ers.
Then again, Campbell isn’t one to avoid risks, and his confidence in his team has been contagious.
It’s become more than clear that his players love and respect him and everything he’s about, and they wouldn’t want him to take a different approach to his coaching and his decision-making.
But if everything fails and he’s out of the league at some point, he clearly has a future in acting.
