Not so long ago, DeAndre Hopkins was undeniably considered one of the best receivers in the National Football League.
Fast forward to today, and some have doubts about his durability and character, which is why he’s not going to get the kind of money he was looking for.
Still, some predicted he could choose to play for the team that offered him the most money, even if it wasn’t a contender.
However, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer no longer believes that’s the case, as his recent activity all but shows that he’s willing to wait for the right fit until a contending team shows a legit interest in signing him.

Hopkins recently conducted a set of free agency visits, most of which went quite well, according to Breer.
Moreover, the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills were reportedly intrigued by the prospect of trading for him earlier in the offseason, so there’s no reason to think they couldn’t try and sign him at the right price this summer.
Hopkins still has plenty left in the tank, and the Cleveland Browns were also reportedly keeping tabs on him in an attempt to reunite him with Deshaun Watson, but nothing has happened just yet.
He’s not going to get the kind of money Odell Beckham Jr. shockingly got, which is why he’s likely to continue lurking in the shadows and waiting until the right opportunity presents itself, even if that means dragging this saga all the way to training camp or even the season.
