NFL Insider Notes How Stacked The Ravens Are For 2023

Until this week, there was lots of uncertainty and concern surrounding the Baltimore Ravens.

Their franchise quarterback, Lamar Jackson, had received the team’s non-exclusive franchise tag after months of failed negotiations on a new contract, and some felt his days with the team were all but done.

However, Jackson agreed to a five-year, $260 million contract, and the team went ahead and drafted Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Suddenly, Baltimore has a stacked team, at least in the eyes of insider Albert Breer.

So Lamar Jackson will come back to Baltimore with a new contract and Odell Beckham, Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely and JK Dobbins in his arsenal. Ravens could bounce back in a big way. https://t.co/4lSGTjbusk

Flowers may be undersized at 5-foot-9, but many feel he has the potential to be productive, as he possesses ample speed and confidence.

Baltimore’s big addition was wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., a three-time Pro Bowler who agreed to a one-year, $15 million deal.

Beckham is coming off two torn ACLs in a span of fewer than 18 months, and although there is some uncertainty regarding what he will be capable of, he is a big name who will give Jackson some help at the very least.

Mark Andrews is one of the NFL’s better tight ends, and he put up 847 yards and five touchdowns in 2022 just a year after producing 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns, which earned him a spot on the All-Pro first-team.

Wideouts Rashod Bateman and Isaiah Likely and running back J.K. Dobbins round out a solid group of offensive playmakers.

Baltimore won 10 games last season, and although they look a little strong on offense, they will likely be hard-pressed to win more games next season, as the Cleveland Browns should be much improved and the Cincinnati Bengals added star offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr.
