The Los Angeles Chargers are expected to be one of the best all-around teams in the NFL during the 2023 season, with the team investing a lot of money on both sides of the football.
Unfortunately for Justin Herbert and company, the team’s season opener didn’t go as planned, with the Miami Dolphins coming out on top last week in a shootout of potent offenses.
In Week 2, the Chargers will try to bounce back and will have a good chance of doing so against the Tennessee Titans, who struggled last week against the New Orleans Saints and might be without star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
However, the Chargers might be without arguably their best offensive player behind Herbert, with star running back Austin Ekeler currently listed as doubtful for this game due to an ankle injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Chargers are in desperate need of a bounce-back game after the shootout with the Dolphins, as the pressure is on for the Los Angeles franchise with how much the team invested in its players during the offseason.
That said, taking on a struggling Titans team is the ideal situation to get back on track, even if it is on the road in Tennessee.
Unfortunately, the offense takes a big hit without Ekeler, who rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Dolphins last week.
Ekeler also caught four passes for 47 receiving yards against Miami, meaning the versatile running back is a dual threat for Los Angeles and would be a costly loss for the Chargers if he can’t play in Week 2.
