Team USA features nothing but the creme of the crop of American NBA talent.

We’re talking, for the most part, about legitimate superstars and some of the most famous basketball players on Earth.

However, even they can be starstruck every now and then.

That may have been the case early on Saturday during practice, as NFL legend Peyton Manning pulled up to show his support (via NFL & USA Basketball).

Manning is considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, and some might even say that he’s the greatest pure quarterback or pure passer the game has ever seen.

A perennial MVP candidate with a cannon for an arm and a knack for picking apart opposing defenses in real time, the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos legend had one of the most remarkable careers in NFL history.

For years, he went back and forth with Tom Brady in the ‘best quarterback of all time’ debate, with the latter eventually earning that distinction because of the championships he won.

One might say that he’s the LeBron James to Brady’s Michael Jordan, so it only made sense that he pulled up to share a quick chat with the four-time NBA champion.

Team USA will begin its road to the podium with a tough debut vs. Nikola Jokic and Serbia.

It won’t be easy, but this team is talented enough to beat every single opponent that comes its way, and, hopefully, Manning’s chat will inspire them to bring home the gold.
