The 2020 NFL Draft might go down as one of the best in league history at the wide receiver position.

It has produced several elite talents at the position, including Justin Jefferson, Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk, and CeeDee Lamb.

None of these four players have received a contract extension from their respective teams, but it is expected in the 2024 offseason.

Chad Ochocinco and Shannon Sharpe recently discussed Lamb in a segment of their “Nightcap” podcast.

They believe Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys should “Back up the Brinks truck” to pay Lamb.

Jefferson is typically known as the number one receiver from this class, although Lamb is not far behind him.

Sharpe and Ochocinco recognized Lamb’s greatness thus far and are convinced that the Cowboys need to give him a top-tier receiver contract.

They believe he is worth it, not only for his on-field presence but for his star potential and generally fan-likeability.

However, Sharpe mentioned a potential concern with how Jones handles his team, which could impact his upcoming contract and standing with the team.

He believes that Lamb is a true WR1 and that it doesn’t make sense for Dak Prescott to spread the wealth to other receivers when Lamb is on the field.

There are seemingly a lot of factors at play regarding Lamb’s upcoming contract.

If Jones doesn’t unload the metaphorical Brinks truck for Lamb during the offseason, the talented receiver could look elsewhere for employment if he is unhappy with a potential deal with the team.
