NFL Players Voted 2 QBs As ‘Most Underrated’

The National Football League is a quarterback’s league.

That statement has never been more accurate.

As such, having a good quarterback doesn’t necessarily guarantee a team will have success, but at least it makes things quite easier.

Needless to say, there are tiers and levels to everything.

That often leads to uncomfortable debates, and it’s also led to some players being criminally underrated.

With that in mind, ESPN surveyed 103 NFL players to determine who the most underrated quarterbacks in the league are right now.

Notably, there was a two-way tie at the top, with Brock Purdy and Matthew Stafford getting 14 votes each.

That makes perfect sense.

Brock Purdy has been the best quarterback the Niners have had since prime Colin Kaepernick, and he’s led the team to at least the NFC Championship Game twice in as many seasons.

However, he continues to be deemed a ‘system quarterback,’ still being punished by where he was taken in the NFL Draft and for the fact that he gets to play alongside superstars.

As for Stafford, we’re talking about a former No. 1 pick, and one of the most talented passers of his generation.

Stafford had been doing no-look passes long before Patrick Mahomes.

He’s tough and played through multiple injuries, but he still gets a bad rap for the terrible Detroit Lions teams he played for.

It took him one year of being healthy and with a good team to win the Super Bowl, and he might be top-notch when it comes to arm talent alone.
