NFL QB Is Receiving Most Bets To Win MVP This Season

It’s the slow season of the year on the sports calendar, meaning it’s a great time to start cooking up some NFL futures bets.

One sportsbook CEO recently shared which player is generating the most buzz so far in terms of NFL MVP bets for the upcoming season, and it’s an unsurprising name given his current odds and how much he exceeded expectations last season.

DraftKings CEO Jason Robins shared that so far, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is the player who has received the most MVP bets.

Stroud currently has the second-shortest odds to win at +850 behind only Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes at +475.

Josh Allen and Joe Burrow are both +900, Jordan Love and Lamar Jackson are both +1400, Jalen Hurts is +1500, and Aaron Rodgers and Brock Purdy are tied at +1600.

Christian McCaffrey has the shortest odds for non-QBs at +4000, as the 17 shortest players overall are all quarterbacks.

It makes sense that Stroud would receive the most bets coming off an Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign where he threw 23 touchdowns and just five interceptions over the course of his 15 games.

The Texans added Stefon Diggs as Stroud’s No. 1 wide receiver this offseason and also brought in Joe Mixon at running back, so expectations for this team are sky-high after winning the AFC South and winning a playoff game.

Quarterback is obviously a loaded position in the NFL at the moment, so separating from the pack enough to win MVP will require Stroud to put up some truly dominant numbers.
