Madden 24 is slated to release on August 18th, 2023.

The lead-up to the launch has continued to be a monumental event, as the marketing budget for the game seems to grow every year.

In a recent video shared by Madden’s official page, NFL rookie quarterbacks were asked various questions about their ratings in this year’s game.

C.J. Stroud’s throw power is 89, which is pointed out by the host of this video.

When asked about why it was so low, Stroud said, “I got more, but it’s fine.”

Rookies typically are given a lower rating in Madden, and as the season goes on, their skills are constantly updated.

It appears that Stroud isn’t worried about this rating.

If anything, it will give him more motivation to succeed this year, forcing the game’s creators to give him a better grade.

Sean Clifford of the Green Bay Packers expressed similar thoughts when asked about his ability to throw on the run.

“Always room to grow,” Clifford said.

The Packers took Clifford in the fifth round of this year’s draft, the likely backup to Jordan Love.

Clifford was a four-year starter for Penn State, and he’ll now be relegated to a backup opportunity in Green Bay.

However, as evidenced by Brock Purdy’s rise in 2022, starting quarterbacks can be found, no matter what round they are drafted in.

After all, Tom Brady wasn’t exactly highly regarded when he entered into the league, and he’s now seen as one of the greatest football players in NFL history.

Can Clifford and Stroud play well enough to raise their Madden ratings this year?
