The Kansas City Chiefs are on a quest for history once again this season, as no NFL team has ever won three consecutive Super Bowls.
Kansas City has won three in the past five seasons and is looking for its fourth in the past six seasons.
FOX Sports’ Nick Wright said he believes this year’s path for the Chiefs might be easier than in years past.
“If the Chiefs are the exact same as last year, the path to the Super Bowl will be easier. … It’s literally impossible for them to have a harder path than last year,” Wright said on “First Things First.”

First off, it is important to remember that every season is different in its own way with new challenges for each team to face.
Of course, the Chiefs haven’t had to overcome a lot with the way they’ve been winning.
Now, they did have to go on the road for two playoff games last year and defeated both the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens en route to the Super Bowl.
There, they defeated a dominant San Francisco 49ers team that felt like it was invincible.
Looking ahead to 2024, the Chiefs of course could finish 10-7 or 9-8 and have an even tougher playoff road by not playing any home games.
But that seems unlikely with Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid still there.
With the Bills and Ravens both losing plenty of key pieces, perhaps the Chiefs remain on their own level in the AFC.
The 49ers, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles from the NFC could challenge Kansas City in the Super Bowl, but it still feels like the only team that can stop the Chiefs is the Chiefs themselves.
