The Baltimore Ravens have started the 2023 season as one of the best teams in the AFC.

They are tied for the best record in the conference alongside the Kansas City Chiefs, starting the year at 7-2.

While this hot start has many analysts convinced that the Ravens are poised for a massive postseason run, Nick Wright has recently voiced his concerns.

“I’ve seen Lamar get off to great starts every year of his career,” Wright said.

Lamar Jackson is given a lot of credit for the Ravens’ hot start and is considered an MVP candidate by many.

However, Wright has seen this before.

In his eyes, Jackson and the Ravens have started similarly in years past but crumbled down the stretch.

Take the 2022 season, for instance.

Through their first nine games last year, the Ravens were confident in their team, holding a record of 6-3.

After this hot start, the Ravens finished the year with a 10-7 record, sneaking into the playoffs after a series of injuries.

They lost in the first round of the playoffs, largely due to Jackson not being able to play.

Wright is under the impression that history is bound to repeat itself.

Can the Ravens overcome his doubts throughout the rest of the season?

The Ravens are currently the sixth-highest-scoring team in the NFL.

Their defense has allowed the fewest points in the league, an indication that they are a well-rounded unit.

This typically bodes well for the postseason, which could be a positive for the Ravens assuming they keep this pace going.
