Some analysts and fans believe the Boston Celtics have the upper hand in the NBA Finals, which are set to start on Thursday night.
However, others are saying that the Dallas Mavericks shouldn’t be counted out.
On “First Things First,” Nick Wright said that the Mavericks could win this series.
He compared the starting five for both teams, their offensive and defensive ratings, and the way they have performed against teams over .500.
Because of that, Wright believes that Dallas could win the championship over the Celtics.

The Celtics easily have the better record but that doesn’t consider a few important factors about the Mavericks.
For starters, they have looked like a totally different team over the last few months.
Their mid-season changes really worked in their favor and that means their season record doesn’t do them justice.
Meanwhile, the Celtics haven’t faced many tough opponents in the playoffs.
Their path to the Finals has been filled with teams missing some of their biggest stars, while the Mavericks have had to fight teams that have been completely healthy.
That is yet another reason why the Mavericks shouldn’t be counted out: they have had to fight through fire to get to this point, while the Celtics have not.
Although the Celtics might be the favorites to win the championship, the Mavericks aren’t too far behind them.
They have a chance to surprise many people and prove Wright correct.
The last few months have been preparing them for this moment and there are a number of factors that could lead them to their first championship in years.
