Heading into the 2022 NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs looked like they could be headed into a downward spiral, as the team decided to trade superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins after being unable to see eye-to-eye on a new contract.
Many debated whether the Chiefs could recover from losing arguably the best and fastest wide receiver in the NFL, and as a result, it led to many people writing off Kansas City in the AFC.
Even though the team brought in JuJu Smith-Schuster to help shoulder the load in the passing game, the Chiefs didn’t have the same appeal, but it didn’t matter as Patrick Mahomes and company went to win a second Super Bowl title under head coach Andy Reid and set up a potential dynasty.
Mahomes is confident that the Chiefs are at the beginning of a dynasty, and Nick Wright of FS1 believes the superstar quarterback is right on the money, via First Things First.

Wright believes that if the Chiefs can repeat as Super Bowl champions next season, Kansas City will have put together the best five-year run in NFL history, which would definitely make them a legitimate dynasty moving forward.
It’s a solid argument as the Chiefs would be an incredibly dominant force and arguably the team to beat for many years to come, but Kansas City will have every team in contention for a title next season gunning for them, with the AFC being as competitive as ever.
Only time will tell if Kansas City can keep up their winning ways while adding to the franchise’s legacy.
